Performance clinician helping athletes break through yips and slumps
Thad Frye, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist, Brainspotting Consultant, and performance-focused clinician specializing in the intersection of mental health, nervous system regulation, and sport performance. His work focuses on helping athletes and performers process the underlying material that can interfere with access to their natural ability, including performance blocks, yips, slumps, focal dystonia-like symptoms, injuryreturn fear, shutdown, hesitation, overthinking, loss of feel, and confidence disruption. Thad has worked with and consulted around athletes across professional, collegiate, and high-performance environments, including athletes connected to NHL, MLB, college athletics, and other competitive performance settings. His approach integrates Brainspotting, trauma-informed clinical care, somatic awareness, grief and identity work, and a deep respect for the complexity of elite performance.
